The Academic City 10’s

We will do our 10-mile individual time trial session on a side road in Academic City. Just get off Al Ain highway exit Academic City (Between Nad al Sheeba and Emirates Road). We will start riding on the first roundabout.

The distance between start/finish on the main roundabout and the turning point is 4 km, we therefore ride the track twice to finish 10 mls = 16 km.

Description of the course:

Keep a look out for the direction arrows on the road. From the start you head straight, you will cross 2 roundabouts, turn right at the third roundabout and continue, you will then make a u turn before the next roundabout. Follow the same route back turning left at the first roundabout and continuing straight across the next 2 roundabouts. You are now heading back towards the start/finish straight. You pass the start point (on the opposite side of the road) and enter the main roundabout (Caution is required on this roundabout). Continue all the way around the roundabout and past the start line for one more lap as described above. At the end of the lap as you approach the start/finish area, take the slip road before the main roundabout to the finish line…..good luck and be careful (keep your head up and look where you are going).
